How Do I Book An Appointment?
The quickest and easiest way to secure your spot is by using our online booking system. Alternatively, you can give the salon a call during opening hours, or drop in to see us in person. We highly recommend booking ahead, especially for larger colour services or weekend appointments.
What Should I Book In For?
We have a very wide range of services available in salon, sometimes this can become overwhelming when trying to book. If you are unsure, please give us a call or book in for a complimentary consultation so that we can create a plan for you and your hair. If you are booking online, please select your colour first, then finishing services - this allows the system to recognise processing time. All lightening services require a toner to be booked alongside.
What Specialities Do Your Staff Have?
We are a bit of a mixed bag here in salon. We specialise in Curls, Lived in Colour and Balayage, Bright Blondes, Vivids, Precision Cutting and more! To find out more, please visit our Team page.
What Is Your Cancellation Policy?
We understand that life happens and plans change. If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please give us at least 48 hours notice for appointments over 2 hours length, and 24 hours notice for appointments under 2 hours length. This gives us a chance to offer the slot to someone on our waiting list. Cancellations made within this notice period may incur a fee. Please see our Cancellation Policy page for more info.
How Do I Contact The Salon?
There are various ways of contacting us. For fastest response, please call the salon on 03-332-0838 during business hours. Alternatively, you can send us an email to info@scissortrix.co.nz or message our Facebook or Instagram pages. Please note: we do not accept late cancellations or late reschedules via email/message; please call the salon to discuss.
What Are The Salon Opening Hours?
Monday - 9am - 3pm
Tuesday - 9am - 8pm
Wednesday - 9am - 5pm
Thursday - 9am - 8pm
Friday - 9am - 5pm
Saturday - 9am - 4pm
Sunday - CLOSED
Do You Accept Walk-Ins?
While we always do our absolute best to accommodate walk-ins, our stylists are usually booked out well in advance. To avoid disappointment, we always recommend calling ahead or checking online availability before making the trip into the salon.
What Hair Care Brands Do You Use And Sell?
We are incredibly proud to partner with premium, industry-leading professional hair care brands that look after the health and integrity of your hair. We use L'Oreal Professionnel for our colour, and Kerastase at our basin. We also stock Clever Curl, GHD and Pureology. You can experience these products in salon, and purchase your favourites from our salon shelves or our online store to maintain your look at home.
Where Is The Best Place To Park Near The Salon?
We have a large client carpark right in front of the salon, and there is plenty of free street parking located along Tennyson St. Please note: the carpark has a 2hour limit, but we can over ride this - just let us know your licence plate number upon arrival.
How Long Does New Zealand Shipping Take?
We process and pack all online orders quickly right here from our Christchurch salon. Standard courier delivery across New Zealand typically takes between 2 to 4 business days. Please allow an extra day or two for rural delivery (RD) addresses.
Can I Order Online And Collect From The Salon?
Yes, absolutely. We offer a convenient click-and-collect service. Simply select the "In-Store Pickup" option at the checkout. We will send you a notification email as soon as your premium hair care products are packed and ready for you to collect.
Do You Have Afterpay?
Yes, we accept Afterpay for all services and retail items. We also accept Visa, Mastercard, and cash. Unfortunately we cannot accept Amex.
